Project: Dragonfire Entertainment

Dragonfire Entertainment is a Canadian video game studio, currently working on Trials of Ascension (ToA). I was asked to take a look at the website they were using to promote ToA and give my thoughts on how best to update it and add more content. After I reviewed it, I found that the framework being used was many years out of date and its community all but abandoned it, save for a few hardcore holdouts. During a more in-depth look, I found elements of the database were using a now-insecure encryption method. It was my recommendation that we create a new site instead of attempting to prop up the old one, and we settled on using WordPress, as it made the most sense for our purposes. Since then, the site has been recreated using WordPress, and forums have been added as well.
